Detecting a gas leak is as much about method as it is equipment. Our engineers use electronic combustible gas detectors, acoustic leak locators, tracer gas or controlled pressure-drop testing to isolate the fault, whether in meter work, pipework under floors or concealed risers. We record gas concentration readings and take photographs where appropriate to support the safety report.
Repairs are performed to Gas Safe standards. That can mean replacing a section of copper or steel pipe, renewing joints with approved fittings, or repairing appliance connections and seals. After the work we carry out appliance commissioning, a gas-tightness check and provide a written report and any certification required. For homes and businesses we can also advise on preventive measures such as service plans and pipework upgrades.
